How much fish should we be eating?

You can count on Findus to help you meet the recommendation of eating fish twice a week!

The Global Recommendations

The World Health Organisation recommends that we regularly eat fish (1-2 servings per week), and that servings should ideally provide omega 3 fatty acids. This is because omega 3 fatty acids are important for health and in particular for heart health, so we should include fish sources of omega 3 in our diet every week.

Fish is nutritious, not only it provides omega 3 but also good quality protein, minerals such as selenium, zinc and iodine and vitamins B12 and D (vitamin D in some species only), which is why it is also recommended in the Australian dietary guidelines.
